Message	And I know when I worked for BMW, the "secret" to buying a used M3 was to buy an auto and convert it. That way you were as sure as you could be that the motor wasn't revved to shit and otherwise beaten on. So if it's an auto TT, you're all but certain it was driven by an old person. Or seedy (hi). If it's a 5sp 2+2, all bets are off. And no, I'm not suggesting someone go look specifically for an auto TT. But if I had the cash and saw a mint auto TT, I wouldn't think twice to scoop it up knowing I'd convert it the instant I brought it home. Picking up a mint non-convertible NA with the sole intention to convert to TT is nowhere near my to-do list.
